Pet Boarding at Sawnee Animal Clinic

Your pet’s comfort and well-being are our top priorities.

Our dedicated staff uses their knowledge of animal care to keep your pet healthy and happy during their stay.

We offer separate boarding facilities for cats and dogs, but for exotic pets, you'll want to remember to bring your pet’s own housing, food, toys and other necessities with them at time of drop-off.

About Our Pet Boarding Facilities

We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable facility for your pet. Our boarding area is temperature-controlled and spacious, and your pet receives frequent care and attention from our friendly, compassionate staff.

Dogs - Our dog boarding section contain crates and runs that are spacious and furnished with comfortable bedding, food and water. If you desire your pet to be surrounded by their own blankets, toys or anything else they may want from home, you may bring any item you wish. They are taken outside for potty breaks 3 times per day and have their bedding, food, and water refreshed morning and night (or more often if necessary). We have food on-hand for our doggie boarders if owners do not bring some from home.

Cats - Cats are housed in crates in a quiet room away from barking dogs. We refresh their bedding, food, litter, and water morning and night (or more often if necessary). We have food on-hand for our kitty boarders if owners do not bring some from home.

Exotic Pets - Exotic pets are kept in their own personal cages and tanks from home. We refresh their food, water, bedding materials, etc as often as necessary. Owners must leave food and other necessities for exotic pets at time of drop-off for boarding.

Medical Boarding - Should any medical problems arise during your pet’s stay, you can have peace of mind that our veterinarians will make sure they are treated appropriately. For those pets who require it, we can administer medications for a small charge.

Supervised Playtimes - We offer supervised playtimes (up to 3 per day) one-on-one with our kennel staff to keep your pets happy and active while you're away.

Pet Day Care - We provide day boarding for those owners who want their pets to have companionship while they are gone during the day. These pets are offered the same care and personal playtime as our regular, long-term boarders.

Pet Boarding Requirements

All boarding guests must be up-to-date on their vaccinations against common contagious diseases and have a current negative fecal check. If your pet requires any vaccinations before staying with us, we are happy to provide the vaccines for an additional fee.

For more information about the requirements for your particular type of pet, please contact us before your pet's stay.

Reservations are preferred, especially during holidays, but we can generally accommodate last-minute or emergency boarding needs.

Our boarding facility is open whenever the office is open and specific pick-up times are available by appointment.

Why Board Your Pet at a Veterinary Practice?

  • Medications are administered by trained veterinary staff.
  • If there is an emergency or your pet needs immediate medical care, our veterinarians and medical team are onsite for a quick response.
  • If your pet requires updated vaccinations before boarding, we can take care of those before your pet's scheduled boarding date. If possible, please allow two weeks between vaccination and boarding.
  • We offer veterinary exams or other medical services needed during your pet’s stay.

We welcome your questions about our boarding facilities and policies and are eager to discuss how we can make your pet’s stay as positive as possible.
